The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe the placement of 191 cubic yards of
3600 psi concrete for Pavement Pour 6.
The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 3-5 inches, air content of 3-6 %,
batch to placement time of 90 minutes, and concrete temperature range of 50-95 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications
with regard to temperature, slump, air content, and batch to placement time, with some
exceptions of high slump.
Three sets of five laboratory cured concrete cylinders were cast for compressive strength testing
in our laboratory.
Prior to the placement of concrete, reinforcing steel appeared to be placed in accordance with
project plans and specifications.
