The undersigned arrived on site, as requested, to observe:
1. The placement of 209 cubic yards of 3600 psi concrete for Pavement Pour 7.
2. The placement of 9.5 cubic yards of 4000 psi concrete for Approach from Freeport Parkway.
The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 3-5 inches, air content of 3-6 %,
batch to placement time of 90 minutes, and concrete temperature range of 50-95 degrees
Fahrenheit.
3. The placement of 123.5 cubic yards of 3500 psi concrete for Pour Strips and Slab on grade
Replacement Panels.
The required test limits were determined to be a slump of 3-5 inches, air content of 0-3 %,
batch to placement time of 90 minutes, and concrete temperature range of 50-95 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Concrete observed on this date appeared to be placed in compliance with project specifications
with regard to temperature, slump, air content, and batch to placement time, with some
exceptions of high slump.
Five sets of five laboratory cured concrete cylinders were cast for compressive strength testing
in our laboratory.
