Re: Sidewalk Completion - 401 Avalon Lane (Lot 1, Block C)
Dear Mr. Jones:
Over the past several weeks, we have made contact with both the Engineering and Building
Inspection Departments for the City of Coppell, regarding the completion of a sidewalk that was
omitted during construction of the home at the aforementioned address. Our records reflect that
Drees Homes, Inc was the builder of the home and should have completed the sidewalk along the
East Side of the Property (adjacent to Auburn Way) prior to the City giving final certificate of
occupancy for this home as part of its permitting process.
We have been contacted by residents of the Copperstone community regarding this incomplete
sidewalk and the danger that is presented when pedestrians have to walk into the street at this
corner. We have made contact with the owner of this home and left message notifying them of
this concern and to advise them that were going to contact the City regarding the resolution of
this issue.
We request that the City complete the missing sidewalk or take appropriate actions to cause it to
be completed so that pedestrian traffic along the North Side of Parkway onto Auburn Way does
not have to use the street. This is clearly an unintentional oversight by the City whereby the
builder should have been required to complete tliis sidewalk.
