RE: City of Coppell, Texas 2016 CRS RecertificationDeidra,
I reviewed the information that I sent on our 2016 CRS Recertification
and I did include information for Activity 360. The information is a
log and three letters concerning floodplain determinations.
After receiving your email, I reviewed the 2013 CRS Coordinator’s
Manual in regards to Activity 360. I’m unsure of exactly what is
needed, but I have included with this email additional information that
may be pertinent to Activity 360.
Since late 2015, the City has been meeting with and discussing erosion
and flood protection issues with residents in a subdivision along Denton
Creek. Attached is an email string named “Denton Creek Funding
Discussions” that discusses various funding options for structural
projects and/or economic assistance related to flood damages. The
information explains the programs and why they probably would not be
applicable.
Also attached is a copy of my calendar dated March 21, 2016 named “
Denton Creek Meeting” and another email string named “Emails about
Denton Creek Meeting” that references a meeting in the field with
residents. The meeting consisted of walking portions of the creek with
the residents and discussing ways to protect their property. After
walking the creek we met in one of the resident’s houses to discuss the
entire Denton Creek situation and the next steps to take.
Hopefully the attached information addresses Activity 360.
