Subject:Sandy Lake Modular Block Wall Conflict
Keith
The intent was for the alignment to be the alignment of the wall at the edge of the trail. In this case it would be the top
of wall since the wall is beneath the trail. In the case of the wall being above the trail, the alignment would be the
bottom of the wall (although those walls are CIP and vertical so it doesn’t really matter). I do not see where this is
specifically noted, however.
Our details show for a vertical installation of the modular walls. If a batter was required, the offset should have been
taken from the “non-finished” end of the wall. In this case the top, adjacent the trail, would have been the “finished”
end so the offset should have been from the bottom. I can see how this could be missed, though.
I’m free to meet, or discuss further as needed. My initial thought would be to install the remainder of the wall adjacent
the wing walls vertical if that is an option, and if there is adequate room.
