Dear Hr. Jackson=
Bnclosed are copies of two damage claims submitted by gnivest
Development Company that in their opinion are a direct result
of construction on the above referenced project. Also
included is all correspondence to date between Ginn, Inc.,
C.R. Shaw Construction Company, and Univest Development
Company regarding this issue.
We originally planned recommending final payment to the City
Council at the December 10, 1985 Council meeting,
anticipating this issue to be resolved by that time. Due to
the latest correspondence, however, from gnivest Development
Company, we seek'your advisement on this issue.
The current financial status of this project is as follows:
Original Bid Contract JMnount = $130,280.00
Total Actual Contract ,~-nount = 130,822.00

Revised Total Contract Amount = $157,707.00

Please advise Ginn, Inc. on the proper direction to take at
this time in order to protect the City's interest. Enclosed
is a copy of the Standard Form of Agreement between the City
of Coppell and C.R. Shaw Construction Company.
