Water Line Reimbursement
Gentlemen:
Enclosed is a request from Tetra for the reimbursement of
$92,430.50 for the installation of a 24" water line in
MacArthur Boulevard in lieu of a 12".
We have reviewed this request and find that:
1. The installation of the 24" water line conforms to the
Master Plan
2. The cost appears to be reasonable for this type of
utility work
3. The payment of this "difference in cost" will save the
City future funds by not having to construct the line at
the City's sole expense
It is our recommendation that the City approve this
expenditure and that one payment be made upon the
safisfactory installation and acceptance of the water line.
This payment is to be made with funds appropriated from the
recent bond sales.

Dear Wayne:
As requested by your office, bids were taken for both a 12" Dia.
and a 24" Dia. water.main. The difference in the cost $92,430.50;
this figure is based on our low bidder. If we are required to
install the 24" main, we request that the City Of Coppell pay the
difference in the cost of the 12" and the 24" Dia. water main.
