Freeport NIP(3)-LR 950926reed engineering GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTANTS September 26, 1995 Project No. 2317.2 Report No. 5 M.E.P.C. American Properties, Inc. 15303 Dallas Parkway, Suite 100, LB-10 Dallas, Texas ~5248 ATTN: Mr. Rob ~hmuty Re: Construction Materials Testing Craftmade Coppell, Texas Gentlemen: Submitted here are the results of testing and observation of construction materials at the referenced project. This report addresses the activities for the period of August 8 through September 14, 1995. Construction of piers resumed on August 8, 1995. Pier construction was observed and found to be in compliance with project plans and specifications. Pier designations and depths are shown on Plates 1 through 7. Samples of the pier concrete were obtained on a daily basis. Compressive strength test results will be submitted under separate cover. During the period August 14 through September 14, 1995, a total of 42 field density tests were taken on utility trench backfill and paving subgrade. Test results are shown on Plates 8 and 9. Where tested, materials were found to be in compliance with project specifications, except as noted. Where materials were not in compliance, the soils were reworked and retested. Test failures and retests are noted in lower and upper case letters, respectively. 2424 STUTZ DRIVE · SUITE400 · DALLAS, TEXAS75235 · 214/350-5600 · (FAX) 214/350-O019 M.E.P.C.
