Sidewalk Issue
Dear Gary:
This is to confirm our conversation regarding the 5' wide sidewalk that we are
supposed to build in the city right-of-way in front of our property along Royal Lane.
The city ordinance requires that the sidewalk be constructed 12" off of the property line
inside the city right-of-way. If we do that, due to the existing width of the right-of-
way we will have an 18" green strip left between the street curb and the westerly edge
of the sidewalk. You have agreed to allow us to fill this gap with concrete and widen
the sidewalk to the total width of approximately 6-1/2'.
Gary, this solution will cost us more but it will eliminate a narrow 18" strip of grass
that will be very difficult to maintain.
