Subject: Denton Creek Study – Project Field Work Starting Soon
The City of Coppell has authorized Halff Associates, Inc. (Halff) to perform a hydraulic study of siltation and erosion issues within the reach of Denton Creek from Deforest Road to
Sandy Lake Road and from Denton Tap to State Highway 121.
Halff and its geomorphology subcontractor (Dr. Peter Allen, Baylor University) are prepared to begin collecting data through field work and site visits. In order to accomplish this
task, we are asking for your cooperation and patience by granting them access through your property as needed. This survey field work will be nonintrusive and will not damage any private
property. The survey field work is estimated to be completed by December 2, 2016, weather permitting. Field work and site visits by Dr. Allen will be occurring from now until the
study is complete (June 2017), weather permitting.
