RE: Freeport North Business Park
Mr. David Starowitz of Fortune Asset Management (261-0500) contacted me in your
absence, regarding the status of this project. Mr. Starowitz has assumed manage-
ment and marketing responsibilities on the property formerly owned by Triland
International. This property is located at 1-635 and Freeport Pkwy. The scope
of the project was to have included the necessary streetscape elements along
Freeport, but to date none have been installed.
I spoke with Carl Bass and to his knowledge this area has never been "accepted"
by the City. He suggested contacting Randy Fleming of Ginn Inc. prior to getting
back in contact with Mr. Starowitz. Randy was contacted and said that the area
had never been "accepted" by the City and documentation was available as to what
must be accomplished before "acceptance".
Mr. Starowitz would like to sit down and discuss what ever information might
be available, so that they can begin to manage and market the property. He in-
dicates that landscaping and other commitments by previous owner may be lacking,
which would hamper any marketing at this time. He would like to know the specifics
as to what is required to bring the area to city standards.
