RE: Copper Stone
Retaining Wall
Dear Mr. Clancey:
The City of Coppell has received and reviewed the referenced plans and has the following commems to
offer:
1. Provide a cover sheet stating name of project, what type of construction, the developer and
engineer. Also, provide a site map showing location of project and retaining wall.
2. Check wind loads for an 8' high wood fence on top of retaining wall. Make sure that metal post
can withstand wind pressures.
3. Check for ground pressures that could effect the stability of the wall when a swimming pool is
placed behind the wall.
4. Provide a note stating that the PVC sleeve for steel post should not be placed any more than 8'
apart.
5. Provide a note stating that any disturbance to the park property that occurs during this
construction elemem of the project needs to be conveyed to the Parks and Recreation Division
office (462-8495). Repair to these areas is to be coordinated with the Parks and Recreation
Division.
6. Will this type of retaining wall be constructed on the south side of the subdivision? If so, it
should be shown on location map.
There are various other minor commems throughout these plans. Once these comments have been
addressed, the revised set of plans should be resubmitted to the City for review. If you should have any
questions concerning these commems, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely Y
Michael A. Martin, E.I.T.
