Good morning, the RCP came in today. There's a black coat around the rim. We don't generally
have that type of pipe on projects. Can you give me a little information on the material or just an
explanation for our submittals? I might be overlooking it in the submittals, I just don't see it yet.

Please review the attached utility submittal and let me know if anything needs to be
changed. I noted that they are showing a 32” manhole opening however your standard
details call for 30”. I assumed that larger is ok but smaller would not be.
I asked George for a list of approved manufacturers however he said one does not exist.
The contractor had a few questions which are clouded in green. Questions include:
Water pipe: DR14 or DR18?
Valves: Mechanical joint? Open to the left?
Valve riser boxes: two piece is acceptable?
Meter boxes: confirm manufacturer?
