Concrete Floor Pour
Dear Neighbors,
Natgun Corporation is in the process of constructing a 6 million gallon ground
water storage tank t~r the City of Coppoll. Now that the drilled pier work is complete,
the next phase involves construction of the tank floor. This will entail the use of
approximately 1,780 cubic yards ofready-mhx concrete.
In order to avoid disruption to Lakeside Elementary School, we plan to execute
this work on Saturday, December 9, 1995, weather permitting. Although school will not
be in session, ~ve will have flagmen directing traffic to insure public safety.
We hope to minimize any disruption to the neighborhood. Thank you for your
understanding during this most important event.
Should you have any questions or concerns, kindly call me at (214) 304-8823.
Very truly yours,
Jim R. Fisher

WORK DESCRIPTION
1. Gary Hendricks and I met with Jim Fisher and discussed the inlet piping reinforcement problems. Jim Fisher
indicated that no additional concrete pours will occur at the inlet pipe until the Natgun office reviews the shop
drawings and determines if the corrections to the inlet pipe reinforcement and encasement will meet all project
requirements.
2. The steel reinforcement up to the location of the first construction joint for the tank overflow and drain was in
place.
3. Excavation for Outlet Pipe No. 2 was complete. The steel reinforcement was being tied outside the trench. The
completed steel reinforcement cage will be placed into the trench prior to the concrete being poured.
4. Concrete was in place to the approximate location of the first construction joint for Outlet Pipe No. 1.
5. We directed the superintendent to advise the City Inspector prior to pouring concrete so that all steel
reinforcement can be inspected by the City.

WORK DESCRIPTION
1. The steel reinforcement and concrete encasement for the outlet piping did not reflect those of the Natgun shop
drawings. Seven rebars were missing. Two of the seven were at the location where the two trench safety boxes
were joined. The concrete encasement was 3 '-9.5" short. Twenty cubic yards of concrete was placed. Natgun
shop drawings (Drawings 8.60 and 8.90) called for the vertical rebars G1 and H to be used along the sides of the
encasement. These bars were not used in the steel reinforcement. Natgun's Project Manager Bob Barbarisi and
the job site superintendent were made aware of these items. Bob Barbarisi indicated that the outlet piping
encasement will be reviewed and corrected. These corrections will be shown in revised shop drawings.
2. The Steel Reinforcement and piping for Outlet Pipe No. 1 was in place. The existing plug where Outlet
Pipe No. 1 will connect is located and exposed.
3. Excavation began for Outlet Pipe No. 2.
4. The tank pad and job site were being cleaned and prepared for future tank construction.
