Re: Village Parkway Pump Station Additions
Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents
Dear Mr. Pafford:
We are enclosing three (3) sets of preliminary specifications and contract documents for the construction of the
Village Parkway Pump Station Additions. These sets are for your review and comments.
On Tuesday of this week, we delivered two revised sets of the construction plans. These sets were modified
in accordance with your review comments. We are returning your mark ups sets with this submittal. Please
review the revised construction plans and notif3, us of your findings.
Following is a review of the schedule we discussed for advertising, bidding and awarding a construction
contract for this project:
1. First Public Advertisement: The week of November 20th - 24th
2. Second Public Advertisement: The week 0fN0vember 27th - December 1st
3. Pre-Bid Conference: The week of December 1 lth - 15th
4. Receive Bids: Thursday December 21, 1995
5. Recommendation of Low Bidder: Submitted before December 29th
6. City of Coppel Award Contract: January 9th, 1996.
7. Contract Documents executed: Completed by January 29th, 1996
8. Pre-construction Conf./Work Order: First week in February, 1996.

The schedule outlined above gives the contractors 4 weeks to prepare their bids. The minimum time required
for publicly advertising projects is 2 weeks. We normally allow for 3 weeks of advertisement and plan
distribution for a project of this scope, but with the Thanksgiving Holidays and the normal end of year
activities, we suggest the plan outline. We are available to discuss this project and schedule further at your
convenience.
