This letter is to confirm that a 5-inch thick, 4,000-psi concrete pavement exceeds the
City of Coppell standard section for car and light truck parking. The proposed design
consists of five inches of 4,000-psi compression strength concrete pavement over a
scarified and recompacted subgrade. This section will withstand approximately 15
percent more repetitions of an equivalent 18-kip axle load than the standard five inch,
3,000-psi section over a lime stabilized subgrade.
