form of a finely divided granular powder. It is fireproof, odorless, rot-
proof. vermin-proof, has good insulstlon and sound absorption c%ualities, is
hydroscol~ic and contains no free sil~_ca- It is also surface modified for
water rel;~llency.

must use personal protection against skin contact with lime and inhalation of dust or
mist (See Section VIII). Keep spilled material away from acids. Carefully pick up the
solid with a m~unum of dusting and collect in metal containers with covers for
disposal. The trace amounts of residue in the spill area can be flushed to the drain,
using plenty of wa~er.
WASTE DISPOSAL MFI~00s Add to water, dilute, and flush to the sewer. (Large ~m~_unts
may require neu~ralizat~on b~ acid.) Follow Federal, State and local regulations.
Alternately, waste lime can be used for neutralising plant acid wastes.

meet TLV requirements for lime dust. When dusty condition exists, an approved dust
respirator may else be needed. In the absence of dust or mist, mechanical exhaust is

and approved e~e protec~ion selected for the working conditions. An eye wash station
and safety shower should be readily available where this material or its water
dispersions are used.
