Please accept this letter as certification that all the
full weight 4 Mil (.004) and 6 Mil (.006) clear and black
polyethylene sheeting manufactured by POLY-AMERICA and
carrying the Pol~-america label only, meets or exceeds ASTM
D4397, Standard Specification for Construction, Industrial,
and Agricultural Applications. Our film also meets or
exceeds Federal Specification LP378D. In addition, our film
conforms to the requirements of PS17-69, ASTM D2103-86 and
ASTM C-171, although some of these specifications may have
been superseded by ASTM D4397.
Additional test methods used include impact resistance
ASTM D1709-80, tensile strength ASTM D882-81, water vapor
transmission ASTM E96-66, and thickness ASTM D374-68.
Poly-Amerioa routinely samples and tests stock
construction film for numerous physical and chemical
characteristics. Part of this testing includes procedures
detailed in ASTM E-154, and called out in ASTM C-156 for
resistance to decay.
In accordance with testing procedures called forth by
ASTM E-154, Pol~-Rmerioa certifies that its stock
construction film is resistant to decay. Test results of
individual rolls of lots may vary, but are within
specification.
