A meeting was held October 4 at the above referenced location. The
purpose of this meeting was to tour the existing facility and review
the proposed changes. Present at this meeting was myself, Linda
Varonich, J.W. Williams and Sam Hubbard.
The Gifford Hill representatives informed us that all wash water
and storm water from that site would be diverted to a filtering and
sedimentation basins. There will be a total of three basins each
having filtering media (bales of hay) in the incoming streams as
well as the outgoing streams. Ail wash water will be filtered and
reused, and all storm run-off will overflow from the final chamber
after filtering through the first two basins.
This type of filtration system is used in three plants that are in
operation at this time. These plants are operating in the City of
Dallas, the City of Frisco and the City of Lancaster.
From the information I have received from the Gifford Hill
representatives, I feel that this system will function adequately.
Construction is to begin on Monday, October 10 and should be completed
by the end of November. I have asked that we be notified on completion
of all changes.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please advise.
