Southwestern Boulevard to IH-635 in Coppell, Texas
Dear Mr. Miller:
Please find, enclosed a technical report on recently constructed and
existing flood plain and floodway conditions relative to the reach of
Grapevine Creek from Southwestern Boulevard to IH-635 in Coppell. This
report, prepared by Albert H. Halff Associates, Inc., reflects existing
and "as built" channel and overbank conditions including a drop structure
downstream of HI-635. Included in the report are the HEC-2 computer
printouts, flood plain and floodway maps, and other data required for a
Final Letter of Map Revision. All hydraulic analyses utilize the F.I.S.
update models prepared by Kimley-Horne and Associates, 1990.
The Conditional Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) for these improvements is
dated August 18, 1987, Case No. 86-06-47R. This report requests a
revision to the effective Flood Insurance Study (FIS) and Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) for these completed improvements. Another Conditional
LOMR (Case No. 91-06-21R) for improvements to the Southwestern Boulevard
Bridge and a railroad spur also exists in this reach. These proposed
bridge improvements were coordinated with this final submittal when the
request for the conditional letter was submitted.

Please find enclosed the report entitled "Request for Final Letter of Map Revision on
Grapevine Creek Southwestern Boulevard to IH-635 in the City of Coppell, Texas". This report
fulfills the requirements for issuance of a Final Letter of Map Revision by the Federal Emergency
Management Agency. A copy of the record drawings for the drop are included with this
submittal and should be forwarded to FEMA. A draft cover letter for this submission is included
in the report.
In addition to requesting the Final LOMR, I have also added a request that this revision
be included in the current FIS update. This request is included on page 5 of the report and you
may want to add it to your submittal letter.
