City of Coppell Coppell Interceptor, Station 133+97 ' Serving the eastern portion of Coppell In response to the point of entry request dated October 9, has reviewed the construction standards to be utilized for 1997, the Authority the point of entry. The Authority conditionally approves your request based upon the information submitted which includes the following documents for Gunner Subdivision, Detail Site Plan dated August 21, 1997 (revised 8/27/97) Preliminary Plat Revised August 27, 1997, Drainage Area Map File 971146 N~ C07 and No. C08 dated September 29, 1997, Off Site Wastewater Main File 971146 No. C13 dated September 29, 1997, Water and Wastewater Plan File 971146 No C14 and No. C15 dated September 29, 1997, all signed and sealed by Mr. B McWilliams Jr. on September 29, 1997., but is subject to the following requirements: 1. The Central Regional Wastewater System Enqineering Field Services Division must be contacted at (972) 263-2~51 at least 72 hours prior to construction. If the Authority is not notified, the Authority reserves the right to request the contractor to excavate his work for inspection. All inspections shall be performed by Authority personnel only. City inspectors are not responsible for Authority facilities. 2. All points of entry must be constructed within one year after their approval by the Authority. Any alterations to the plans concerning the Author~ty's pipeline, manholes, or other appurtenances must be preapproved by the Authority. 3. A preconstruction meeting between the contractor, The City of Coppell and the Authority will be required prior to construction. 6500 W. Point of Entry Request Page 2 The connection to the TRA line shall be to the existing manhole at station 133+97 on the 33" Coppell Interceptor with a method of connection approved by Trinity River Authority. o The connection will be made by the City of Coppell with the understanding that the 33" Authority's interceptor the City proposes to utilize for the POE, currently exceed hydraulic capacity. Design and construction of a relief interceptor is not within the system rogram until late 1998. The existing interceptor is highly loaded ydraulically; therefore, the connection to the flow line of the. existing interceptor must be made during times of low flow, or after the relief interceptor is constructed. The contractor shall verify the location and elevation of the existing TRA line prior to the construction of the creek crossing and last portion of the connection. o The contractor shall use OSHA approved trench safety procedures when working around TRA facilities and OSHA approved confined space entry procedures when entering a TRA manhole. The safety equipment shall be furnished by the contractor and shall be OSHA certified. Persons working in these areas shall be trained in the proper use of the safety equipment. TRA personnel shall be present anytime a TRA manhole is entered. This point of entry shall service the City of Coppell, Texas and wastewater contribution will be monitored at Meter Station 17.0E.
