RE: Flood Study relating to 10 acre multi-family site fronting on
MacArthur Blvd., south of Sandy Lake Road.
Dear Ken:
I was very distressed to hear that the consulting engineers engaged
by the City of Coppall, Kimberly-Horne,, had not even delivered
their review to the City as of our telephone conversation earlier
today. ~t was our understanding that they were going to provide a
two week response time and that the report had been delivered to
them by the City on or about February 5, 1999.
When we last spoke, on or about March 9, 1999, it was my
understanding that Kimberly-Horne had promised to have this report
to you no later than the following Friday, February 12, 1999. An
additional two weeks have now passed and we still do not have the
report tile}' promised to deliver to the City on February 19, 1999,
over a month ago.
It is my understanding that part of the justification for the
increased fees to be paid to Kimberly-Horne for review of this
Study was their commitment to turn it around in two weeks.
As discussed, we have this property under contract, contingent upon
receipt of permission to commence fill work on the site. We have
already obtained one extension of time as a result of Kimberly
Horne's failure to fulfill their original commitment on or before
February 19, 1999. If we do not move forward quickly, we will most
likely lose our buyer, and instead of having a filled site and a
new development on this 10 acres, we will continue to have a vacant
site in need of fill work.
