Set screws shall be 5/8" NC thread, with torque-set head, or 5/8" square head bolts, with knurled cup-point, made of 4140 steel and shall be hardened to Rockwell 'C' scale 45-47. (Either set screw can be used on 3':12' size; 5/8" square head required for 14'C30".) Wall Thickness Note: Installation suggestions are based on use with class 53 ductile iron pipe; results may vary if different classes or other pipe is used.
