RE: Delineation of jurisdictional Waters of U.S. for First United Methodist Church in the City of
Coppell, Dallas County, Texas
Dear Mr. Gee:
On 20 May 1998, Rudi Reinecke, Wetland Biologist, and David Pitts, Biologist, of Geo-Marine, Inc.
performed a survey for jurisdictional waters of the United States (U.S.) for a proposed parking lot site at
the northwest corner of Heartz Road and Bethel School Road intersection in the city of Coppell, Texas.
No potential jurisdictional wetlands or waters of the U.S. were observed on the proposed project site.
The lot was nearly level with an exception of a small stock pond in the northeast corner. The pond had a
Iow berm around the Iow end and willow (Safix nigra) trees surrounding the water's edge. There were not
any jurisdictional waters of the U.S. channels feeding this pond; therefore, this stock pond is not
jurisdictional under the Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. Since the proposed project site does not
contain any potential jurisdictional waters of the U.S., no coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of
Engineers regarding Section 404 of the Clean Water Act is necessary.
We appreciated the opportunity to work on this project and look forward to working with you and Gee
Consultants, Inc. again. Meanwhile, if you have any questions, or require additional information, please
do not hesitate to call me at (972) 423-5480.
Sincerely,
Rudi Reinecke
