To Whom it May Concern:
Not too long ago, GRAND Homes, a less than reputable home builder in
Coppell, remodeled the landscaping around their two model homes on Allen
Rd. in the Lakes of Coppell. As a result, the city sidewalk was replaced with
a small decorative stone wall and shrubbery. Because of this, residents on
this side of the street can not walk around the block without having to walk in
the street. When cars are parked in front of the model homes, residents have
to expose themselves to traffic at a limited sight distance curve to get around
them. Surely the city's building inspection and permit department didn't
approve of this.
Please take whatever action is necessary to have GRAND Homes restore the
city's sidewalk so that residents and children do not have to walk in the
street.
On a second subject, you might remind GRAND Homes that they, too, must
comply with the alternate watering requirements just as any other Coppell
resident must do. To date, they have ignored the ordinance.
