Re: Concrete and Earthfill
Placement
Lakes of Coppell
Dear Gary:
In response to your request, we are pleased to submit our recommenda-
tions for specifications for placement of concrete rubble at the
referenced location. Concrete rubble used as earthfill should not be
larger than 18 inches in diameter. Any rebar contained within the
concrete should not extend outside the aforementioned 18-inch radius.
Concrete larger than 18 inches should be broken down to acceptable size
prior to or in-place before adding additional fill. Sufficient clay
binder should be used along with the concrete rubble to ensure adequate
compaction and to fill void spaces within the concrete rubble. Concrete
rubble should not be placed within three (3) feet of the ground sur-
face.
We trust the information presented herein is in sufficient detail for
your use. When we may be of further service, please do not hesitate to
caU on us.
Very truly yours,
MAXIM ENGINEERS, INC.
