Dear Mr. Ginn:
We are submitting on behalf of our client, Veenker Investments Inc.,
three (3) copies of a Floodplain Reclamation report for the Lakes of Coppell
development in Coppell, Texas. This report presents the results of a detailed
hydraulic a~alysis .~t~exformed to*~_t~rmim~ the~mmoun~ of land that can b~
reclaimed from the floodplain at this site..The report includes plotted water
surface profiles for the 10, 50, 100 and 500-year flood discharges and a map
delineating the flood insurance study floodplain and floodway as well as the
proposed floodway. The proposed floodway as shown on the enclosed map will
not have a negative impact on the lO0-year flood elevations in this reach of
Denton Creek and the Elm Fork of the Trinity River. Please review this report
and provide to us your comments.
We respectfully request that the City of Coppell file a Letter of -Map
Amendment (LOP~) with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the
revisions documented in the enclosed report. We will be pleased to furnish
additional copies of this report and other information that might be required
by FEMA in processing this report.
