Lakes of C 1stP-CS 840511GINN, INC. CONSULTING ENGINEERS May 11, 1984 MEMO TO: Ron Ragland CityManager Attention: Scott Barnett SUBJECT: Lakes of Coppell We have reviewed the preliminary plat and thoroughfare planning analysis for the Lakes of Coppell and offer the following comments. The storm drainage criteria should be based on technical paper 40 instead of technical paper 25. The final design of the sanitary sewers should not have horizontal or vertical curves, if possible. The water line in Parkway Blvd. should be 16" diameter and the water line in MacArthur Blvd. from Parkway to Sandy Lake should be 16" diameter. The west ROW of MacArthur Blvd. from Sandy Lake 300 ft. north should be an additional ten (10) feet wide for future free right-turn lanes. The south ROW of Parkway Blvd. from MacArthur Blvd. 300 ft. west should be an additional ten (10) feet wide for future free right-turn lane. The north ROW for Sandy Lake Road should be an additional five (5) feet wide for a total future ROW width of 110 feet. The recommendation that MacArthur Blvd. be a 4-lane is not consistent with the projected traffic volumes. MacArthur should be a 6-lane divided in final design (4-lane divided initially is satisfactory). , P.E. /jc 16135 Preston Road · Suite 106 · Dallas, Texas 75248 · Phone 214/386-6611
