RE: MACARTHUR BOULEVARD PAVING & DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS -
COPPELL, TEXAS
Dear Mr. Anderson:
I am in receipt of your April 4, 1989 request (copy attached~, for geometric con-
siderations. You will need to provide more detailed information, and then we will
need to meet, together with the design engineer, Phil Deaton, and appropriate
members of the City of Coppell Development Rewew Staff to further discuss the
compliance with the City Ordinances, codes and requirements, and acceptability
of the proposed designs, etc.
Please provide me in writing for review prior to the above mentioned meeting,
which requests relate to existing access points. Also, on the requests for future
access points, provide information such as approved plans and plats, or what your
proposal might be. Exhibits can be furnished.
If some of these requests relate directly, or indirectly, with the negotiations
that are occurring related te this improvement, then we will have to await those
decisions before you can get final approval from the City cf Coppell.
To avoid a "Catch 2Z" situation, we can pursue this techmcal dialogue in that you
can respond to me as I have asked above, then we can have the meeting with the
City Development Review Staff, and come to a resolve on your requests from a
technical level. Then when the related agreements are concluded, we can issue
the approval for these requests to be integrated into the design drawings. To
expedite the design of this public improvement we could approve for design
those requests that won't be contingent upon approval of other agreements.

Since the review of these drawings were put on hold, pending the final outcome of
the related agreements, we can conduct these technical considerations of your
requests in the meantime.
Please let me know if you have any questions. We appreciate the opportunity
to work with you on this improvement, enhancing the potential for development
in this part of the City of Coppello
Thank you.

RE: MacArthur Blvd. Extension
City of Coppell
Dear Mr. Dowdey:
On March 13, 1989 I met with you and Mr. Glen Hinckley to discuss the
preliminary construction plans which Dannenbaum Engineering Corporation has
prepared for the proposed MacArthur Blvd. extension in northern Coppell. At
the meeting we discussed the additional median openings, left turn lanes and
street turnouts which you believe are needed to provide access to adjacent
properties. You requested that these facilities be included in the current
construction plans. We have reviewed your request and believe that certain
modifications are needed as shown on the attached drawing. These
modifications will not adversely affect the intent of your proposed
facilities. If you agree with our modifications we propose to revise the
construction plans to include the additional facilities. However, prior to
making the revisions, we request that you provide confirmation from the City
of Coppell that the additional facilities are acceptable to the City.
If we can be of further assistance in this matter, please call.
Sincerely,
D~~£RING CORPORATION
