ST8601-CS 880219MEMORANDUM TO: Frank Trando, Deputy City Manager/Finance Director FROM: Taryon Bowman, P & Z Coordinator J~/~ RE: MacArthur Boulevard Extension Some time during last year, the issue of the right-of-way for MacArthur Boulevard extension was discussed during several meetings. Since you were in charge of this project at that time, I will continue to refer all questions and concerns to you, unless changes have taken place. On February 4, 1988, preliminary plans for the MacArthur Boulevard extension were submitted to my office for staff review, by Phil Deaton of Dannenbaum Engineering. The memo attached hereto from Mr. Deaton, is in regards to the acquisition of right-of-ways along MacArthur Boulevard (extension), and also the need for additional slope easements and temporary construction easements. I spoke with Kevin Peiffer, of Ginn, Inc., regarding this project, and he had not yet received any plans for the extension. I have since then submitted a copy of the plans to Ginn's office, as well as the Engineering and Public Works departments for review. Please inform me of the status of this project, and more specifically, if the right-of-way dedication along MacArthur Boulevard (extension) has been secured from affected property owners, so that I may contact Mr. Deaton regarding the status of review time. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 Attn: Ms. Taryon Bowman Zoning Coordinator Dear Ms. Bowman: We herewith submit five (5) sets of preliminary plans for the extension of MacArthur Boulevard from the DeForest Road intersection north across Denton Creek to match the existing MacArthur Boulevard in the Vista Ridge Development. South of Denton Creek, the preliminary plat reflects the right-of-way as determined by Ginn, Inc. We understand that acquisition of this land by the City of Coppell is currently underway. Please note that additional slope easements and temporary construction easements will be required. The right-of-way north of the creek owned by Vista Mortgage & Realty, Inc., will be dedicated during the platting process. We are also submitting a preliminary bridge layout for the Denton Creek bridge, a proposed six-lane structure. In addition, we have furnished details for architectural treatment consistent with the existing bridge structure at the north end of the project. Your review and comments regarding this proposed thoroughfare improvement are greatly appreciated. We are available to meet with you, at your convenience, to discuss this project.
