Dowdy & Associates. This report includes the HEC-2 computer printouts, floodplain and floodway maps, and other data required for a Conditional Letter of Map Revision. Attached you will also find a copy of related Corps of Engineers' 404 Permit dated January 14, 1991. Mr. Ron Morrison of Kimley Horn & Associates has reviewed this report on behalf of the City of Coppell and recommends approval of this project, as submitted (See attached letter dated January 29, 1991.) Acting City Engineer City of Coppell Post Office Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 Re: Lake Park Addition Flood Study Review Dear Ms. Daneshmond: We have now completed the review of the fourth submittal of the Lake Park Addition flood study prepared by Dan Dowdey and Associates, 16250 Dallas Pkwy., Dallas, Texas. This submittal has adequately addressed concerns expressed in the earlier submittals. In addition, we have received a copy of a letter from the Corps of Engineers dated January 14, 1991, that approves the subject project under Section 404 of the Clean Water Act. We contacted Mr. Bill Anderson of Dan Dowdey and Associates about additional concerns not addressed in the subject flood study report. Mr Anderson informed us that he had investigated all subdivisions adjacent to the Lake Park Addition and the Proposed Lake associated with this addition. The result of Mr. Anderson's investigation is that all structures in the adjacent areas will not be affected by any change in flood levels as a result of this project. We should also point out that the Lake edge treatment has been modified as a result of the Corps of Engineers requirements. We suggest that you make sure that this agrees with City Planning Department requirements or prior agreements. It is our understanding that the subdivision plats, grading, storm drainage, and other such items related to the Lake Park Subdivision have been reviewed by others. These items were not included in our review. Considering the above assumptions, xve recommend approval of the Subject Flood Study. If you need additional information, please call me. This process is in conjunction with the construction plans prepared by our firm. I respectfully request that you review this data and submit the request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency for their approval. We have been in coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and have obtained a 404 permit which is included. Thank you for your cooperation in expediting this procedure.
