I~E: Park Site Donation; Lake Park Addition (Proposed)
As a part of a proposed subdivision proposed north of the present
Parkwood addition an agreement between the City and Univest Company
,.~as developed. The agreement conveys a 32.2 acre site to the City
in exchange for fill to be mined on the site making it unsuitable
for structures.
A commencement date was established in order to allow for termination
of the agreement should Univest fail to develop the area. This has
occored as of October 1, 1988.
Staff is still confident that a viable park can be developed on the
s~ite per the agreement. This would substantially increase the acreage
~vailable for water recreation such as fishing, while allowing for
tra~l extension from the Coppell Community Park area for joggers
and otheC users.
Staff will contact Univest officials to reaffirm the City's desire
to see the area developed and ascertain further information as to
when this may occur if this meets with your approval.
LT,]~ plan to drain the area of standing water is being evaluated by
taff and would further substantiate that the area may develop in
he immediate future.
f you have any questions, please advise.
