This copy is for your review prior to our meeting on May ~)1994. It is our opinion that if the engineering phase of this project starts quickly, then there exists a good chance that the reservoir could be in service for the peak demands of the summer of 1995. The ,cope of emgine~ring scrviccs for the proposed ground storage tank arc clear. However the scope of work related to the pump station improvements will likely require additional refinement. Therefore, we rccormnend this project be in two separate cngineeriag services contracts: 1 ) Engineering services for preparation of plans, sl~'cL~eations, and contract documents along with construction administration of the Village Parking Ground Storage Reservoir No. 2. 2) Engineering setvitro for improvcn~nts to the Village Parkway Pump Station as follows: a) Preliminary enlgineering report including probable capital cost and cost benefit analysis for the eonstruotion of: · Emergency g~aeration at Village Parkway Pump Station. · Variable frequency drives for existing pttmp no. 3 and proposed pump no, 4 Sh i reek , & FinkleG 2148610204 P,O~ Mr, Ken Griffin City of Coppoll May 5, 1994 Pago No, 2 Detailed plans, specifications, and bidding documents along with construction administration for the improwmeats to Vills6o Parkway Pump Station as recommonded in the preliminary engineering report and as directed by the City of Copper! including pwposed pump no, 4, If you are in agreement wiih this approach to this project and the attached engineering services agreement for the first phase is acceptsble, lgsas6 have it execute~ by the City and return one copy to us, Once we receive an executed atFeement we will ~ommenco our services on the ground storage phase of this project at your direction- Sincerely, Gary C.
