See attached copy of written comments. 1. Regarding the size of Gateway Boulevard please see attached a letter from T. N. Searcy, Assistant Vice President of Southern Pacific Transportation Company. 2. Grapevine Creek has been channelized through this project. The City of Coppell has a Conditional Letter of Map Revision from Federal Emergency Management Agency (F~A) on file. 3. A drainage area map showing the offsite drainage is being prepared. 4. Grading of the site will be performed in phases. A copy of the grading plans showing phase limits will be incorporated into the next submittal. 5. A runoff coefficient of 0.7 was agreed to be acceptable at the meeting between the City of Coppell City Staff and Albert H. Balff Associates, Inc., Friday, September 25, 1987. 6. Time of concentration for the drainage areas has been added to Sheet DA-1. T.P.-40 was used to determine intensities. , BERT H. HALFF ASSOCIATES, INC. A 1" sand cushion is being utilized over reinforced concrete pavement to set brick pavers per the City of Coppell standard detail. 9. The width of the drainage easements were deemed to be satisfactory at the above mentioned meeting. 10. Phasing notes and delineation are shown on the construction plans. The phasing lines will be emphasized to make the divisions more clear. 11. Street lighting including conduit size and location is shown on paving plans. 12. Fire hydrants are spaced at 300' maximum. Two fire hydrants will be added on Southwestern Drive between Metro Drive and Belt Line Road. 13. We are seeking approval from the City Engineer to allow horizontal curves in sanitary sewer lines as per City of Coppell Subdivision Ordinance Appendix A - Section III, paragraph A, subparagraph 15. Please find attached a copy of a letter from the Fort Worth Water Department outlining their policy on sanitary sewer alignment. Bill Foster, Section Supervisor, T.V. Section of Dallas Water Utilities can provide additional information upon request. He can be reached at 670-0770. 14. Ail drawings will be signed and dated by the appropriate engineer when the review process is complete. The following are answers to comments made by Shohre Daneshman on the copy of the engineering set. 1. Sheet SS-4: As discussed in the above mentioned meeting the use of bends in the storm sewer is acceptable to the City. 2. Sheet SS-8: City of Coppell Type B storm sewer manholes will be placed at Sta 13+61 and Sta 14+83. 4. Sheet SS-9: As discussed at the above mentioned meeting the connection of the double 60" R.C.P. to the existing box culvert is acceptable to the City as shown on the plans. 5. Sheet SS-13: The intersection of storm sewer liner TG-1B and TG-3A is at an angle of approximately 60°. 6. Sheet SS-15: Ail pipe discharging into Grapevine Creek will have a slope end section per detail Sheets SD-1 through SD-3. The following are answers to comments made by Steve M. Morton. 1. Sheet FP-I: Regarding the maintenance agreement for Grapevine Creek please see attached letter from T. N. Searcy. 2. Paving Sheets: A note designating the proposed user of the conduits to be installed will be added to the plans. 3. Sheet P-l: 2" Water meters shown on plans are for irrigation purposes · 4. Brick Pavers Intersection Details: The brick pavers at the turnouts are being revised to be on a straight line next to the right-of-way · 5. Sheet P-6: a. Bullock Drive is a two way street. b. Brick pavers are being removed from Bullock Drive. The pavement will be reinforced concrete per City of Coppell s t and ards. c. East bound right-turn only lane will be marked by a solid white button pattern. 6. Sheet P-8: The connection to Southwestern Drive is asphalt pavement to allow for a smooth tie-in when Southwestern Drive is improved to reinforced concrete pavement. , BERT H. HALFF ASSOCIATES. INC. Sheet WS-1 and WS-2: a. 2" water meters will be added to this sheet, all conduits will be as shown on paving plans. b. Three fire hydrants will be added to the south side of Southwestern Drive between Metro Drive and Belt Line Road. c. Phase lines for the project will be shown on Sheets WS-1 and WS-2. 9. Irrigation Plans: Irrigation plans are being revised per the mark-up from the City. To date we have not received written comments for the Construction Drawings from Ginn, Inc., City Engineers for Coppell. Per our conversation with Shohre Daneshman and Kevin Peiffer on Monday, September 28, it is our understanding that revised plans should be submitted to the City of Coppell before 5:00 p.m. on October 9th.
