Bibby, In response to your letter dated April 8, 1999 for the Dividend Drive Project in · ~oppell, TX, Halff Associates offers the following: 1. The adjacent property owner does want the excess excavation from this ?~:. project. 2. Proposal Item IV-3 describes concrete curb and gutter. This should be curb only. 3. Proposal Item IV-2 describes base including lime. The mount of lime · required is 32 lbs/sy. 4. Sheet RD-I shows installation of Type III Barricades. The contractor shall ..... .- perform the work for the installation of the barricades and include the bid "'? ....... mount in Proposal Item 1-13. 5. Sheet RD-1, note 8 and Sheet RD-2, note 10 state to install striping and buttons. See attached sheet for striping and button requirements. The contractor shall perform the work for this item and include the bid amount in -? Proposal Item I- 13. :~' 6. Sheet RD-2 shows the relocation of the existing light pole. The new location of the light pole will have to be coordinated with TU Electric (Rick Fielding, 972-888-1344). The contractor shall perform the work for the relocation of the existing light pole. It shall be considered incidental and shall not be a . .. . .separate~ pay item. 7. There are existing brick pavers in the median of Freeport Parkway which will have to be removed, The contractor shall perform the work to remove the brick pavers and include the bid mount in Proposal Item IV-6. ' 8. Sheet RD-2, note 2 states to modify the existing irrigation system in the ':'~' median where the left turn lane is being constructed. The contractor shall perform the work to modify and relocate the irrigation system as necessary to .- maintain the existing system. It shall be considered incidental and shall not be a separate pay item. Sheet RD-2, note 3 states to relocate trees in the median of Freeport Parkway. The new location of the trees will have to be coordinated with the City of '~:.. Coppell and/or the owner. The only trees to be relocated are the ones directly affected by the construction of the left turn lane on Freeport Parkway. The contractor shall perform the work to relocate the trees. It shall be considered incidental and shall not be a separate pay item. ~, ....... 10. Sheet RD-2, no~e 4 states to match the existing thickness of pavement in Freeport Parkway. Freeport Parkway is 8-inches thick. ~- 11. Sheet RD-3 shows the proposed concrete base for future brick pavcrs. This concrete base in the street is Type D, 3000 PSI reinforced concrete pavement. The 13" thick concrete base is to provide a solid median nose and shall also be 3000 PSI reinforced concrete pavement. The contractor shall include the 13" thick base for the solid median nose bid amount in Proposal Item IV-1. Ple~so~ase these clarifications to better formulate your project bids which will be opened a~ 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 13, 1999 at the City of Coppell.
