Garreth,
We need some help from you on the double detector check we installed at
Lucent Technologies. As you are aware, the City ran out of DDICs. We
submitted data on different models, which you presented to the engineer. The
Ames 3000SS was approved and we installed it. The general contractor is to get
a rebate on the fee he paid for the City's check valve.
Last Friday, Glen Hoiloway (the new man in charge of the DDICs and meters)
called the general contractor to tell him the City now had his check valve in stock.
When Informed that we had already Installed one, Mr. Holloway did not take it
well and stated that the City engineer, Mike Martin, did not authorize us to do
this.
There is apparently a communication gap here. Would you please speak to
whoever is necessary to clear this matter up for us. Let me know how we stand
on this so I can inform the general contractor that everything is fine.
