For residential structures, the lowest floor (includin~ bazement) must be ol~vated to two (2) fe~ above the 100-
year base flood elevation or one (1) foot above ultln'~te condilion whichever is higher. Cefiific~ion of the
lowest floor must be submilled f~om a registered professional engineer, architect, or Innd surveyor.
For non-residential swactures, tile lowest floor (including bssement) must be elevsled or floodproofed to two
(2) feet above the 100-year base flood elevation or one (1) foot above ultimate condition whichever is higher.
Ceffificsfion that lhe floodproofing methods are sdequate to withstand the flood depths, pressure, velocities,
impact and uplift fi~rces and other facwrs associated with the base flood must be submilled from a regislered
pwfessional engineer or srchi~.t.
