Utility District Number One and per the Standards and Specifications for Public Works Construction by North Central Texas Council of Governments. 2 ' Ail water lines to be AWWA C900 PVC SDR 14 Class 200 (blue in color). Except as shown Polywrap all MJ Fittings, Valve Risers, Tapping Saddles and Hydrant Lines. Ail water mains shall have a minimum cover of 42 inches below.finish grade or as required to clear other utilities. Terra-Tape required one (1) foot above water main. 4. water service lines shall be 1" type "K" copper and shall be provided with a corporation at the main and a curb stop located at least 18" (cighteen inches) outside of proposed curb with cover not to exceed 1~ '~ee%. Proposed yoke and meter box to be installed by contractor after construction of proposed pavement is complete. A suitable marker shall be placed at the point ~where said service Nines .are stubbed out. The marker shall be "W" stamped on curb or edge Qf pavement if ..no curb is constructed; .Letters shall have. a n.inimum height of 3" (two inches) and a minimum width of 2" (two inches). Ail sanitary sewer pipe shall be SDR 35 PVC ASTM D3034 (green in color), unless otherwise noted. Ail sanitary sewer ~laterals shall be 4 inch PVC 'and located at the proposed l~t centerline. A 2" X 4" X 4" lumber painted red shall be placed at the end to mark'service. Contractor shall protect all' public utilities in the construction of this project. All manholes, cleanouts,, valve boxes, and fire hydrants must be adjusted to proper line and grade by the Utility Contractor after placement of paving, and before final acceptance. The location of all existing utilities indicated on the plans ~Te taken from existing public records. The exact location and elev.~tlon of all public utilities shall be determined by the contractor. It shall be the duty of the contractor to ascertain whether any additional facilities other than those shown on the plans, may be present. A minimum clearance of 24 inches shall be provided between Water mains'and storm sewer inlets. 10. Contractor 'shall provide Engineer dimensions to all servi~e~, and other information to produce "as-built" plans. 11. Ail water and sanitary sewer lines installed under pavement to be backfilled and compacted in 8 inch lifts to 95% standard proctor .density @± 2 percentage points of optinlum moisture. 12. When installing water mains at sanitary sewer crossings, no joint · ~/of~water main shall be within (9) feet of the centeriine of the sanitary sewer pipe. 13. Water mains shall be tested with a Hydraulic Test Pressure of not less than 150 PSI maintained over a continuous period of not less than ~ hours and disinfected in accordance with A~A C607. Leakage shall not exceed 11.65 ga!lo~s per inch of diameter mf pipe, ~er mile, per day (no pay item).
