Dear Mr. Griffin:
Enclosed for your review and approval is our traffic control plan for the second phase of the
MacArthur and Sandy Lake intersection. It is our intent to continue the closure of the eastern
north bound lane of MacArthur to construct the eastern portion of the intersection that is cross
hatched on the attached drawing. It is also our intent to close the western south bound lane of
MacArthur, north of Sandy Lake Road, to construct the western cross hatched portion of the
intersection. The ease-west Sandy Lake traffic will be shifted to the southern portion of the
recently constructed pavement on both sides of the intersection. The MacArthur lane closures
will be set up in accordance with the detail on page 6B-9.3 of the 1980 Texas MUTCD. EBCC
would like to execute this traffic switch during the week of June 25, 2001 and begin construction
of the next phase of this intersection.
Please provide our office with your decision regarding this traffic switch at your earliest
convenience. If you have any questions regarding this issue, don't hesitate to contact our office.
