RE: Sandy Lake Road- DWU Contract No. 98-311F/312F DWU 30" Water Main Relocation
Dear Mr. Baha
Thank you for faxing me the TENTATIVE schedule for the ApriJ 19th through April 23rd shut-
down of the DWU 30" water main (Enclosed). I have staffed making arrangements to make
the four tie-ins for Relocation #5 and Relocation ~ during these dates.
There is a third Relocation #7, that has been held up by a telephone conduit for the last two
months. Mr. Ken Grifrm, P.E. (City of Coppell) has convinced the phone ~ to work
24 hours a day, until the conduit is relocated. The contractor for the phone company has
assured .us that they will be out of the way by Monday, April 23rd. Ther~ore, I would like to
submit the following schedule for the final relocation.
Apdl 23rd and 24th - M-Co crews will lay remaining RCCP, make tie-in (closure) at conduit
location, k3ad and pretest the water main.
Apdl 25th - DWU's pressure test and disinfect the water main
April 26th - DWU's water sample to lab.
Depending on how long the lab results take we can make final tie-ins on Friday, April 27th or
any day there after. We need a 24 hour window to make these tie-ins and f will need as
much notice as possible to reschedute the welders.
Anything, that you can do to work these tie-ins into your schedule would be very much
appreciated.
