Re: Sandy Lake Road Reconstruction
Coppell Project #: ST 93-02
Kimley-Hom Project #: 06940600
DVvqJ Project #: 9R-311F
Dear Mr. Griffin:
Approximately 120 linear feet of 36" RCP storm sewer and a grate drop inlet are in conflict with the Coppell 30"
water line that needs to be extended across the Sandy Lake/MacArthur intersection. We have assumed that the City
will want to replace the storm sewer line and inlet that will need to be removed. The following existing pay items
will be affected by this work:
Item Description QW Umt Unit Price Extension
9 Remove Existing Inlet 1 EA $500.00 $500.00
10 Remove Existing RCP 120 LF $I0.00 $1,200.00
33 36" CL III RCP 120 LF $66.00 $7,920.00
49 Std 2 Grate Drop Inlet 1 EA $2,500.00 $2,500.00
Since the future MacArthur/Sandy Lake intersection improvement project will eliminate the need for the storm
sewer line affected by this water line extension and will ultimately result in the removal of whatever we replace,
new RCP doesn't need to be installed at this location. As a cost reduction measure, we propose relaying the RCP
that we remove under item 10 and match the existing line and grade. Our price for relaying 36" RCP is $40.00 per
LF.
