Dear Mr. Griffin:
It is our understanding that seven (7) additional full circumference welds will be required to
install the cross and 30" gate valve near the pump station on Kimbel Kourt prior to installation of
the remainder of the water line extension. This construction sequence was directed by the City to
facilitate reducing production at the pump station prior to the heavy water usage season. Our
contract with the City includes an item for full circumference welds; however, it is in the Dallas
Water Utilities section of the contract. Please add this item to the City of Coppell section of the
contract on the next change order.
