TEXAS 75019 April 16, 1998 Mr. Richard Jackson Richard Jackson & Associates 5115 McKinney Avenue, Suite D Dallas, TX 75205 Dear Mr. Jackson: I am in receipt of your April 16, 1998, correspondence regarding a sanitary sewer and roadway maintenance concern at 1849 Beltline Road. Because my primary role in Coppell government addresses land use, subdivision and zoning issues -- I am the Planning Director here -- your concerns would more appropriately be directed to the department responsible for sewer and roadway maintenance, our Engineering Department. I have, therefore, forwarded your letter to Engineering and would recommend you contact that department for further information regarding the issues outlined in your letter. Yours truly, ~' Sieb, A.I.C.P. Box 478 Coppell, Texas 75019 Attn: Gary Siebe Gentlemen: ~ am writing on behalf of the Afghan Emerald Corporation regarding the property owned by them at 1849 Beltline R~)ad, which includes the premises where the Lone Star Country Club is located and the surrounding 10 acres +/-. A though requested to do so for some time now, the City has failed and refused to bring city sewer services to that property or to repair and maintain the portion of Ledbetter Drive that is located on the property. This has resulted in not only a great deal of inconvenience and difficulty for the owners, but has further cost them $300 - $400 per month in costs in having the septic system emptied because of this lack of city operated sewer system. The provision of such a sewer system service was a part of the terms of the annexation of this property in 1986. and although the property operating the competing business across Bait Line was provided with sewer service over 2 ¼ years ago, the service has for some reason been denied to this property. The property owners have retained Mr. Johnny Thompson as a consultant in this matter so I would appreciate it if you would address this problem immediatelyand notify this office and Mr. Thompson via FAX (to the FAX number above and to Mr. Thompson at FAX # [972] 393 5265) no later than 7 days from th~.l~ate of this letter, of your intentions in regard to this problem. / Richard Ja(.~so-~ cc: Afghan Emerald Corporation (via FAX) JOhnny Thompson (via FAX)
