RE: Construction Inspection Fees
Dear Mr. Smiley:
In an effort to better track our construction inspection fees and to ensure that the City is
collecting all fees due to the City, effective immediately the City will be requiring the following
for calculation of construction inspection fees: 1) Prior to the payment of the construction fees,
a copy of the construction items, with unit prices and total prices, should be submitted to the
City for our review and calculation of inspection fees; 2) Prior to the final acceptance of the
construction project, the final quantity list of construction items, along with unit prices and total
prices, should be submitted to the City for a recalculation of the inspection fees.
Again, this minor change is being implemented to ensure that the City collects all inspection fees
due and that the developers and/or contractors do not overpay inspection fees during the course
of the construction.
Your assistance in making this minor change work would be greatly appreciated.
