Gentlemen:
You are invited to submit a proposal for construction of water,
sewer and drainage facilities in subject addition. All labor and
materials necessary to complete the work indicated on the
enclosed engineering plans per City of Coppell Standards and
Specifications should be included in unit prices. The Owner
reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive
formalities in the bidding procedure. Bids will be received
until 4:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 1992, and should be
addressed to:

Attached is a copy of our estimate of the bid quantities. All
work is to be constructed under Contract with the Owner per
Contract Documents provided by Owner. All testing required by
the City of Coppell shall be provided by the Contractor.
Construction staking and grade verification will be provided by
the Owner through Unzicker, Schnurbusch & Associates, Inc. to
insure all subgrade has been brought to ±0.2 feet. The Owner
reserves the right backcharge the Contractor for excessive
retesting, restaking and/or reverification. Include in your
proposal as separate line items the cost of payment and
performance bonds to the Owner as well as the required
maintenance bond to the City of Coppell.
Bids will not be accepted unless a time of completion date has
been indicated on your proposal (in working days). Please be
aware that the City of Coppell has recently changed their
standard details.

* Ail bid items to be constructed per the current City of Coppell
standards-and specifications. Bid items include all means of
construction required for proper installation (complete in
place), including but not limited to: labor, supervision,
equipment, tools, materials, backfill, compaction, final cleaning
and acceptance.
Traffic control to be provided and maintained by Contractor
throughout construction at Contractor's expense. Inlet
installation to include variable height curb & gutter and paving
leave-outs to be constructed by Utility Contractor. All trenches
exceeding five foot deep and unstable trenches less than five
foot deep shall be constructed in accordance with the
specifications provided in OSHA 2226.
Utility Construction is scheduled to being on this site on
October 1, 1992. Please include with your bid a statement that
you will comply with the start date and your estimated completion
date.
