Dear Jeff:
Thank you for the time you shared with me regarding the
relocation of the Coppell MUD #1 sanitary sewer relocation within
the referenced project.
At your request, I have spoken with the sales representative for
Carlon Pipe regarding this design criteria and construction
specifications. As you are aware, we will be replacing the
existing 27-inch sewer line, which crosses the proposed
development, with a 30-inch pipe which will be constructed within
the existing and proposed street Rights-of-Way. The proposed 30-
inch pipe will be checked to ensure adequate capacity. I would
appreciate it if you could notify me of the design flow you are
requiring for this sewer line to be designed.
I have asked the Carlon representative's Engineer for a letter
regarding the minimum horizontal radius with which the pipe can
be constructed. He should have it to me within one week, at
which time I'll copy you.
As you are aware, the sewer line will be constructed within
street Right-of-Way, including the existing Right-of-Way on
Village Parkway. The outside Right-of-Way radius of Village
Parkway is ~p~roximately 455 feet. I've been verbally informed
that the minimum radius the Carlon pipe can be layed on is
approximately 250.0 feet, which is less than our design minimum.
After our telephone conversation this past week, it is my
understanding that as long as we meet the manufacturer's design
criteria regarding horizontal curvature, you would allow us to
construct this line as shown on the attached exhibit. I would
appreciate it very much if you would write a letter to that
affect addressed to Mr. Steve Gorom with the City of Coppell. As
you are aware, they prefer to have their sewer lines constructed
without any horizontal curves.

Also, as you can see on the attached site plan, there will be
lots fronting Village Parkway. Would it be possible to connect
sewer service laterals into the 30-inch sewer line for these few
lots?
We will be submitting the Final Plat and Engineering Plans for
this subdivision to the City Engineers office within the next few
weeks; a set of plans will also be sent to you for your review.
If you have any ~uestions, please feel free to call.
Sincerely,
Kevin R. Kendrick, P.E.
