On this date, a representative of Rone Engineers, Inc., performed a visua
screen wall surrounding the project. The mortar compressive strength tesl
during construction of the wall and columns, did not meet the specified c¢
The technician proceeded to perform a in-field scratch test on the mortar j
the entire wall. The technician scratched the face of the mortar joints wit
tool to try to expose any weakened or unsatisfactory mortar. Each colu~
were tested in many areas using this method. No weak mortar joints wer,
this procedure. In the opinion of Rone Engineers, Inc., the possible low
