The technician scratched the face of the mortar joints wit tool to try to expose any weakened or unsatisfactory mortar. Each colu~ were tested in many areas using this method. No weak mortar joints wer, this procedure. In the opinion of Rone Engineers, Inc., the possible low represent the in-place strength of the mortar.
