Dear Mr. Weber:
The City of Coppell has recently been approached by residents along Heatherglen about the possibility of
the construction of a median opening at that street intersection. Attached to this letter is a schematic
showing a proposed median opening.
By my calculations, the median opening should contain the following components:

1. 310 LF Concrete Curb and Gutter Removal
2. 88 CY Unclassified Street Excavation
3. 196 SY 8" Lime Subgrade
4. 3.8 TONS Lime
5. 225 SY 8" Concrete Paving
6. 195 LF Concrete Curb
7. 32 SY Pavestones
8. --- EA Necessary Buttons to delineate the left turn lane per City Details
9. - ..... Any adjustment of existing conduit or pull boxes that may conflict with the
proposed opening
By virtue of this letter, the City of Coppell is requesting that you provide a cost estimate for the
construction of this left turn lane. Once that estimate has been provided, the City will make a
determination as to whether or not to include this left turn lane in this project.
