RE: Coppell Road Project # ST98-O1 (from Sandy Lake Road to S.H. 121)
Dear Sir or Madam:
The contract for the reconstruction of Coppell Road from Sandy Lake Road to S.H. 121 was awarded
on August 10, 1999 to Ed Bell Construction Company. In the next few weeks the City will ~nalize the
contracts and meetings will be held in anticipation of the first phase of construction to begin in
September. The construction time for the project is 240 calendar days. Therefore, the anticipated
completion of the project is summer 2000.
It is the City's intent to send out reports on the status of the project to keep you informed of the
progress of the work. We will let you know major milestones that the contractor has completed,
sections of work that the contractor anticipates completing during the next months, any anticipated
detours or other disruptions, and an overall progress report on the project. The City's approach is to
keep the citizens informed with update letters, information on C-Link, which can be accessed by calling
972/300-3542 24-hours a day, and a web site at www.ci.coppell.tx.us/engineer/en~ineer.htm to provide
more specific up to date information on the progress, status and timetable for the project.
