Attached is a memorandum from Denton County's Civil Division regarding proposed design
improvements along SH 12I within Coilin County.
Denton County has been asked by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to include
the engineering from the Denton/Collin County Line to the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) in its
scope of work currently being implemented along SH 121 for the design of main lane
improvements. As you can see from the attached memoranda Collin County will need

lane design on SH 121. Therefore, Denton County is requesting that Coilin County financially
participate in design of the section of SH 121 that falls within Coilin County.
